We are making a call for submissions for a four-panel (yonkoma) manga contest sponsored by the pop culture distribution site asianbeat which is run by Fukuoka Prefecture.
Please choose from the following three themes in making your submissions.

Entries that pass through the preliminary screening will be subject to an Internet popularity poll conducted at asianbeat during the period from December 24 to January 6. We will then combine the opinions of expert judges of the poll results to decide the grand prize-winning entry.
(*Regardless of contest theme, we will take the highest rated entry as grand prize-winner.)

■ Top prize (1 person): 100,000 yen  ■ Second prizes (3 person): 30,000 yen
*Tax will be deducted at source with regard to prize money.

To make your submission, first register as an Artist (free of charge) on DreamTribe.
(*Those who have already registered as Artist on DreamTribe do not need to register again.)

After Artist registration, click the login button in the upper-right on the website and enter your Artist ID and password to login to your Mypage.
When you push the “Make submission to four-panel manga contest” button on your Mypage, the submission form will open.
After entering the required information into this form, upload the data file for your entry, and then you will be able to submit the entry.
When submitting, make sure you remember to check the “Four-panel manga contest” submission checkbox at the bottom of the form.
Your usage is totally free of charge.
(*Please allow that the Artist registration page, Mypage, and Entry submission page are in Japanese only.)

Entry format is four-panel manga (one-page manga).
Please create and save the image of your entry according to the following size criteria.

Please upload your submission entry as a JPEG image (RGB color or grayscale. CMYK format and bitmap mode will not be accepted).

We will accept submissions without regard to amateur or professional status.
One person can submit multiple entries.
Please refrain from submitting entries that use creations by other authors. (*For contest theme 3 (Four-panel manga with “Princess of AruAru Kingdom” as subject matter), the character’s copyright holder Apamanshop consents to use of the character.)

When submitting the entry, please state the contest submission theme in the introduction section for the entry.

The entry will be published after preliminary screening by the secretariat.
Entries that are not published on the site are not subject to judging in the contest.
Please understand that the contest may be discontinued at the discretion of the operator if continuing the contest becomes difficult due to an accident or other such circumstances.

Further, at the discretion of the secretariat we will not publish entries that are violent, abusive, promote discrimination, or are obscene or offensive to others or otherwise contradict the intent of the contest.
The submitter of the entry holds the full copyright with respect to the submitted entry and guarantees the he or she shall not infringe any rights or interests of third parties.

The copyright to the submitted entry belongs to the creator. However, consent with regard to the following uses without compensation shall be granted to the contest operator secretariat (Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd. and Fukuoka Prefecture).

・Publication on the DreamTribe, asianbeat, and AruAru City websites
・Exhibition at AruAru City (Kokura, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture)
・Further, publication and display in various media for informational and promotional purposes for this contest and this endeavor (including additional consent from the contest operator secretariat to other company media)

By submitting an entry to this contest, the applicant is deemed to have agreed to the provisions of this contest.
